Inside the project

Goal

Develop a scalable paediatric MRI experience concept that reduces anxiety triggers across the patient journey while remaining feasible within clinical, spatial and operational constraints.

Approach

Conducted stakeholder interviews and analysed patient journey stages to identify stress triggers before, during and after MRI procedures. Translated insights into themed spatial and narrative concepts supported by environmental graphics, preparatory materials and touchpoint design. Developed iterative layouts and experience prototypes to support cross-functional evaluation and feasibility discussion.

Impact

The concept consolidated fragmented paediatric touchpoints into a structured experience portfolio covering pre-visit preparation, in-clinic engagement and post-visit reinforcement. It informed internal discussions on scalable anxiety-reduction strategies across imaging environments.

Constraints & Considerations

- Existing MRI hardware limitations
- Infection control regulations
- Acoustic restrictions
- Budget sensitivity for hospital clients
- Clinical workflow timing
